We're delighted to announce that tickets for our next concert, Music for a Summer Evening, are now on sale!
Music for a Summer Evening will present a programme of choral music celebrating life, light, and love, including arrangements of English and Scottish madrigals and folk songs alongside works by Parry, Finzi, Delius, and Elgar. We'll take in a number of some of the most sensationally beautiful pieces along the way, from Orlando Gibbons's 'The Silver Swan', Percy Dearmer's arrangement of 'Brigg Fair', and James MacMillan's take on 'The Gallant Weaver'; to Gerland Finzi's astounding and moving 'Lo, the Full Final Sacrifice'.
We're also pleased that Dr John Kitchen, Edinburgh City Organist and Organist of Edinburgh University, will be joining us for a small section of the programme.
The concert will last just over an hour (including an interval), after which you're invited to join us for a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.
Please do join us for what will be the perfect way to spend a beautiful, balmy June evening in Melrose! And if it's dreich and dull outside,
Music for a Summer Evening will certainly warm you up.
Tickets are £15 (free to under-18s) and can be booked by following this link:
